Show #1/Pilot "HealthLink"

About the film

The GVTV camera follows the grass roots efforts of HealthLink and other citizens making their communities healthier places to live. By broadcasting their work and vigilence, it will ensure that the new tougher state regulations are enforced and do not get squashed by a new industry effort to further weaken the federal pollution laws.

If you have one of these old power plants near your neighborhood and want to get involved in this national effort to stop the pollution, contact HealthLink or one of the other national groups working on this vital issue or call us at GreenVision and share your story.

EATING APES

European and Asian loggers have opened up the great forests of Central Africa's Congo Basin, allowing hunters in and meat out.

This hunter's commerce has become a big and very profitable business, serving big markets in the big cities where ape meat is a luxury, not a necessity. So it goes. Humanity is eating and in other ways pushing its three
closest relatives--chimpanzees, bonobos, and gorillas--into the dark chasm of non-existence.

EATING APES explains the when, where, how, and why--and what can be done--of this ongoing conservation and biodiversity disaster. The African Great Apes, our closest living relatives, are in imminent danger of extinction.

EATING APES, in beautiful prose, exposes the
enormity and complexity of this conservation crisis. It took great courage to gather and present this information. You must read this book. --Dr. Jane Goodall
